1 cup sugar
2 cups milk
3 egg yolks (or 2 whole eggs)
4 tbsp. cocoa (approx. 1/3 cup)
4 tbsp. flour (approx. 1/3 cup)
pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp. butter
Directions:
Directions:
1. Scald milk in a heavy pan.
2. In a bowl, mix sugar, cocoa, salt, and flour. Add to the milk while stirring.
3. Add slightly beaten eggs while beating vigorously.
4. Cook on medium heat until thick.
5. Remove from heat and add butter & vanilla.
6. Let cool.
