1/2 cup water
2 cups sugar
1 cup white Karo syrup
1 cup raw peanuts
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a heavy saucepan, combine water, sugar, and Karo syrup.
2. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.
3. Add raw peanuts and continue cooking, stirring occasionally.
4. Cook until the mixture reaches a golden color (hard-crack stage, about 300°F if using a thermometer).
5. Remove from heat and quickly add butter, stirring until fully melted.
6. Immediately stir in baking soda and vanilla (the mixture will foam up).
7. Pour at once onto a buttered baking sheet.
8. Spread thin if needed—do not touch too much.
9. Let cool completely, then break into pieces.

*Note: In place of peanuts you can sub chopped or whole pecans for Pecan Brittle as well!
