Ingredients: 4 cups Granny Smith apples, chopped fine 2 cups sugar 1 cup Crisco Oil 2 eggs, beaten 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon cinnamon 3 cups All-Purpose flour Chopped walnuts, optional
Icing
1 stick butter, softened 2-3 Tablespoons carnation milk or regular milk 3-4 cups powered sugar dash of salt

Directions:Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a bundt pan with baking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the oil, sugar and eggs until well combined. Add grated apples and let stand 30 minutes.
In separate bowl whisk together baking soda, cinnamon and flour.
Add the flour mixture to the apple mixture, stir well to combined. Add vanilla and nuts
Transfer batter to prepaired pan.
Bake for 70 to 75 minutes
Remove cake from oven and let cool for 15 minutes before moving from pan.
ICING
Melt the butter, then add one cup powdered sugar, alternating with a little milk until desired consistency. A very thin glaze will need less sugar, thicker will need more.
Pour over warm cake. |

Notes: This is a cake my Granny (my mothers, mother) made for us, Its so moist.
I bake these in small metal pans and give away during Christmas. Spray the tins and cook for about 30 minutes. Just use toothpick to check for doneness.
