9 strips bacon
3/4 c wild rice
1 onion, chopped
1 c carrot, grated
2 cans cream of potato soup
2 c water
8 oz American cheese
2 tbsp parsley
Sliced water chestnuts
2 c mushrooms
2 pt half and half

Directions:
Directions:
Cook wild rice. Dice and fry bacon. Saute onions, carrots, chestnuts, mushrooms. Mix soup, water, and cheese. Cook over low heat until cheese is melted. Add bacon, vegetables and rice. Add half and half and heat, but do not boil.
