1 14 oz. package of caramels
2/3 cup evaporated milk, divided
1 package German chocolate cake mix
¾ cup butter, melted
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in double broiler, stirring until
melted. Combine cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts. Stir until
dough holds together.
2. Press half of dough into 9x13 greased pan. Bake at 350º for 6-8 minutes.
3. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Spread caramel mixture over that. Crumble reserved dough on top.
4. Bake another 15-18 minutes. Let cool slightly, then refrigerate until caramel sets (most of day or overnight).
