1 cup sugar
1 tsp whole cloves
dash salt
1 2in cinnamon stick
3/4 cup lemon juice
2 cups orange juice
1 pint orange sherbert
2 12oz bottles 7-up or ginger ale, well chilled
Maraschino cherries, with stems
Mint sprigs

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, 2 cups water, cloves and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar; reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes. Add cinnamon stick. Cool. Combine lemon and orange juices with cooled syrup; mix well. Refridgerate several hours until very cold. To serve, pour about 2/3 cup juice into an 8-oz glass. Drop in 1 large spoonful of sherbert; fill glass with 7-up or ginger ale. Stir; garnish with cherry and mint sprig
