1 Package dry yeast
4 Cups hot water
¾ Cup butter
1 ½ Cups sugar
1 tsp Salt
8-12 Cups flour
Optional:
1 egg and splash of milk
1 egg and 2 Tablespoons sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Bloom yeast in ½ cup warm water with ⅓ tsp of sugar for 15 minutes
2. Melt Butter in Hot Water
3. Add 4 Cups of flour and stir in large bowl
4. Add yeast
5. Add sugar and salt
6. Add remaining flour gradually until stiff enough to form a ball
7. On a floured work surface, Knead the dough for 5 minutes
8. Divide into 2 bowls, cover and let stand for 4-6 hours
9. Roll on floured surface ¾” to 1” thick
10. Cut out with a 3” glass or cookie cutter
11. Place on floured cookie sheet 1” apart
12. Let Rise again for 4-6 hours
13. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown
14. While still warm, top with 1 egg and 2 Tablespoons sugar beaten

To make Grandma Sellner's Bread (Dorothy Sellner):
Use the same ingredients as above, except double the yeast. Place dough in a cool place overnight. Knead down and let rise again in bread pan until doubled. Bake for 45 minutes at 375.
