2 c sugar
1 c white corn syrup
1/2 c water
2 c raw Spanish peanuts
2 tbsp butter
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt (opt)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine syrup, sugar, and water in a saucepan. Bring slowly to 230º until syrup forms a fine thread. Add raw peanuts and continue to cook to 300º or until golden brown. Remove from heat and add butter, soda, vanilla and salt (opt). Stir quickly. Spread on 2 large buttered cookie sheets. When cool, break into pieces. Always turns out great if using a candy thermometer.
