1 c. Crisco
5 c. flour
6 eggs
1 tsp. oil of anise
2 c. sugar
2 c. milk
5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix Crisco and sugar, add 1 egg at a time, then put anise and little at a time and lemon extract.

Mix flour and baking powder a little with a tine until thick. Add flour and baking powder a little at a time until thick.

Grease pan; sprinkle flour, put mixture on lower rack until brown, about 15 min., and then slice and put on top oven until sides are brown.

Place 2 in. apart; bake at 375°.
