1 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 c shortening
3/4 c brown sugar
3/4 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp hot water
2 c oatmeal
1 tsp vanilla
1 pkg chocolate chips
Directions:
Directions:
Sift together first three ingredients. Cream together the next seven ingredients. Stir in flour mixture and chocolate chips. Drop 1 1/2" apart. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes. Can also be baked in jelly roll pan as bars for 20 minutes. Cut and cool 10 minutes. Then remove from pan.
