1 C. sugar
1 1/4 C. Dark Karo Corn Syrup
4 Eggs
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 C. broken pecans
9 inch unbaked pastry shell
Directions:
Directions:
In sauce pan boil sugar and corn syrup together for 3 minutes. (be sure to use large enough pan as it boils up quickly)

Beat eggs (not to stiff), slowly pour hot syrup into beaten eggs, stirring as you do. Stir in butter, vanilla, and pecans.

Turn into uncooked pie shell and bake about 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Done when center is firm. I reduce heat to 325 degrees last 10 minutes so crust doesn't get to brown.
