¾ CUP BUTTER, SOFTENED (1 1/2 STICKS)
1 CUP BROWN SUGAR, PACKED
1 EGG
¼ CUP MOLASSES
2¼ CUPS FLOUR
2 tsp BAKING SODA
1 tsp CINNAMON
1 tsp GROUND GINGER
½ tsp GROUND CLOVES (I DON'T USE)
¼ tsp SALT

CREAM TOGETHER THE BUTTER AND SUGAR WITH A PADDLE ATTACHMENT. SLOWLY BEAT IN THE EGG AND MOLASSES UNTIL BLENDED.

COMBINE THE FLOUR, BAKING SODA, CINNAMON, GINGER AND SALT

ADD THE DRY INGREDIENTS TO THE MIXTURE AND BLEND UNTIL INCORPORATED. SCRAPE BOWL BEFORE MIXING ONCE MORE TO ENSURE ALL INGREDIENTS ARE THOROUGHLY MIXED

SCOOP INTO BALLS AND ROLL IN SUGAR. MAKE SURE THE DOUGH IS COMPLETELY COVERED IN SUGAR BEFORE PLACING ONTO A LINED COOKIE TRAY

BAKE AT 350º FOR 10-12 MINUTES OR UNTIL THE TOPS ARE CRACKED AND THE EDGES ARE SET BUT THE CENTERS ARE STILL SOFT AND CHEWY
