Directions:Position one rack in top third of oven and preheat to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, soda and salt until thoroughly blended. Using a large bowl, beat the butter with mixer until creamy. Add the sugars and beat 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Beat in the vanilla. At low speed, beat in the flour mixture a third at a time, scraping down the sides after each addition. Using a wooden spoon, stir in the chocolates, then the pecans and candy. Dough will be stiff. Drop dough by rounded Tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets (I line with parchment paper). Leave 1½ inches between cookies, as they will spread. Bake at 350 degrees for 11-13 minutes until lightly browned. Makes 4-6 dozen. |

Notes: Take the cookies out when the edges are light brown. They won't look done in the middle. Leave them on the cookie sheet for a few minutes, but not too long. Transfer them to a cooling rack. One of my tax clients brought these cookies in to me as a treat. They are the best!
