˝ cup butter
˝ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk or yogurt
˝ teaspoon baking soda
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
˝ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease an 8” square pan.

Melt butter and then immediately mix with sugar. Add eggs and beat until well blended. Combine the baking soda and buttermilk. Add to butter batter. Stir in remaining ingredients until well combined. Pour batter into the pan.

Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.
