½ cup sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1½ cups flour
¼ cup brown sugar (for filling)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp butter, melted (for filling)
Optional glaze:
½ cup powdered sugar
1–2 tsp milk
¼ tsp vanilla

Directions:
Make the dough:
Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add flour and mix well until a smooth dough forms.
Chill for 15–20 minutes for easier handling.
Prepare filling:
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.
Melt 1 tablespoon butter separately and set aside.
Roll and fill:
Roll dough into a thin rectangle (about ⅛–¼ inch thick) on lightly floured parchment.
Brush with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Form rolls:
Roll up jelly-roll style from the long side.
Wrap in wax paper or plastic wrap and chill at least 30 minutes to firm up.
Slice and bake:
Slice into ¼-inch rounds and place on ungreased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
Optional glaze:
Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
Drizzle over cooled cookies.
