• ⅔ cup unsalted butter
• ½ cup granulated sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ tsp almond extract
• 2 Tbsp maraschino cherry juice
• 1½ cups all-purpose flour
• ½ tsp baking powder
• ¼ tsp salt
• 16 maraschino cherries, drained & chopped
• 4 oz white chocolate, melted (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add extracts and cherry juice. Mix well.
Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, and cherries. Mix to form dough.
Roll dough into two logs; wrap in plastic and chill until firm.
Slice dough into ¼-inch rounds and place on parchment-lined baking sheets.
Bake at 350°F for 10–11 minutes, until lightly browned.
Cool 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack. Drizzle with melted white chocolate if desired.
