1 c. oleo
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
½ c. walnuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp cloves
½ tsp nutmeg
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together oleo, sugar and eggs.

In another bowl, sift together flour, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.

Add 2 cups oatmeal.

Cook one cup raisins in water to cover, drain.

Dissolve 1 tsp. soda in 6 tbsp. raisin juice.

Add dry ingredients alternately with raisin juice.

Add 1 tsp. vanilla and raisins.

May add walnuts chopped, if desired.

Makes soft cake type cookie.
