1 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1½ cups sugar
3 eggs
3½ cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1½ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and vanilla, add sugar slowly beat well. Agg eggs one at a time, beating well. Mix dry ingredients, then add to rest. Bake 375 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes.
