½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
½ teaspoon salt
1½ cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2½ cups chopped apples
½ cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Blend butter and sugar. Add egg.

Combine dry ingredients and stir into butter and sugar mixture.

Stir in apples and pour into ungreased 9" x 9" pan. Sprinkle with walnuts.

Bake at 350º for 40 minutes.
