1 3/4 cups Almond flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
sliced almonds ( for Topping)
extra sugar for rolling

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper

In a bowl , mix together almond flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract. Mix until a sticky dough forms.

Scoop small spoonfuls of dough and roll into balls. Gently press in sliced almonds and then into sugar to coat

Place on baking sheet and flatten slightly with your fingers

Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft but set .

Let cool completely before moving

I use a 1 tbsp cookie scope for my dough, it yields about a 2 inch cookie. I also roll the dough balls in sugar , place them on the cookie sheet and press them down with a glass until they are about 1/4 inch thick. I consider the sliced almonds optional.

If you use a 1tsp scoop your cookies will be smaller
