1 Med Cabbage (at least 12-14 leaves)
1 1/2# ground beef
1 cup cooked rice
2 cans tomato sauce(14oz)
1 egg
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 small onion chopped
1 tsp poultry seasoning or any seasoning blend you prefer
2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp lemon juice

Cabbage prep.
Some cabbages will peel easily, some will require some help.
We cored the cabbage and placed it in boiling water for 8-10 minutes
once removed, the leaves peeled right off.
Place the leaves back in the hot water until limp

Mix ground beef, salt, pepper, seasoning, cooked rice, onion in large bowl

Place equal portions of mixture on cabbage leaves and roll up and secure with string or toothpicks
Brown rolls in skillet with oil.

Mix tomato sauce, brown sugar, sugar, water and lemon juice and pour over cabbage rolls in skillet and simmer 1 hour basting periodically

These are a pain to make but well worth the trouble!
I didn't have any poultry seasoning, but I had some poultry rub that worked just fine!
be sure to salt and pepper to taste!
