1/2 c. shortening or butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 c. sour cream

6 Tbs butter, softened
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts (I like pecans, some people prefer walnuts)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350º. Prepare a 10-inch tube pan or Bundt pan by spraying with non-stick cooking spray and dusting with flour.
2. Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
2. Add eggs; beat after each.
3. Sift flour, baking powder, and soda and add to the creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Blend after each addition.
4. Spread half of the batter into the pan.
5. Cream together the 6 Tbs soft butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Add nuts.
6. Sprinkle half of the nut mixture over the batter in the pan. Then cover with the remaining batter. Add the rest of the nut mixture on top.
7. Bake in 350º for 50 minutes.
8. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
