1 cup butter
1 cup peanut butter, crunchy or smooth
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2½ cup flour
1½ tsp soda
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, peanut butter and sugars. Add eggs. Beat well. Add dry ingredients. Form into walnut sized balls. Place on cookie sheet and press down with sugared fork, making a cross on each cookie.
Bake at 350ºF for 10-12 minutes. Remove cookies and cool on paper towels.

My mom made these cookies when I was a little girl.
She got the recipe from the head cook when she worked at the Sand's Cafe in Little Falls, MN. The recipe has been a long time favorite in the Brandenburger family.
