Cinnamon Rolls (Grandma Torske's via Uncle Ron) Recipe

Ingredients: 2 sticks melted butter (1 c) 2 cups brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla ⅓ c water pecans if wanted
2 lg tubes PILLSBURY GRANDS CINNABON cinnamon rolls (5 per tube) 50% sugar/cinnamon mixture or whatever mixture suits you! You can leave this off if you don't want it.

Directions:Set oven to 350 degrees. Grease or spray 9x13 pan
Wisk together butter, brown sugar, vanilla, and water. Pour mixture into the greased pan. Add the pecans now if wanted
Place the 2 tubes of rolls in the pan 4 down the middle and three on each side. discard the frosting pack. If desired sprinkle the tops of the rolls pretty good with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until the center rolls are done. Take out of the oven and let cool for 15 min. Place a sheet pan with edges over the rolls and turn over carefully. Scrape the excess sauce and put on top of the rolls. ENJOY!!! |

Notes: This is a recipe that my Uncle Ron made that was as close to my grandmother's recipe as he could get without making the rolls from scratch. Of course, my grandma made her own bread. She was a wonderful baker and cook. When we were kids at her house, she would give us each some dough so we could make whatever we wanted. I can imagine the rolls that we finally put in the oven didn't raise much! Way over worked!
