¾ cup butter
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
¼ teaspoon grated nutmeg
½ teaspoon baking soda (scant)
2 cups flour
½ cup molasses granules or sorghum syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups whole pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add eggs, vanilla, and molasses granules (or sorghum syrup); mix well.

Stir in salt, nutmeg, baking soda, and flour until combined.

Fold in whole pecans.

Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased or parchment-lined cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for about 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
