2 cups sugar
½ cup sour milk
4 cups flour
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¾ cup shortening
2 eggs
1 teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, eggs, and sugar. Sift flour with baking soda, nutmeg, and salt. Add milk alternately with dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoons on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º.
