2 cups sugar
½ cup sour milk
4 cups flour
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¾ cup shortening
2 eggs
1 teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and eggs and sugar. Sift flour with baking soda, nutmeg and salt. Add milk alternately with dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º.
