5 C. quick oats
2 C. softened butter
2 C. granulated sugar
2 C. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 C. flour
2 Teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
4 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips (or a mixture of M & M's and white chocolate chips)
1-8 oz. milk chocolate Hershey bar
3 C. chopped pecans or walnuts

1. In food processor or blender, process oats briefly and set aside.
2. Using an electric mixer, cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
3. Combine flour, blended oats, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to butter/egg mixture, blending well.
4. Stir in chips, and nuts.
5. Roll into balls and place 2" apart on a cookie sheet
6. Bake in a pre-heated 375 degree oven for 6-10 minutes.
