6 c. Flour
5 tsp. Baking Powder
3 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cream of Tartar
3 tbsp. Crisco
1 tbsp. Caraway Seeds
1 qt. Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift all the dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Add the Crisco and work this in with your fingers.

Add the Caraway seeds.

Make a well in the middle and add Buttermilk until dough is wet, knead on a well floured surface.

Shape into a round cast iron pan, cut a cross on top.

Bake at 300º F for 1 hour and 350º F for 15 minutes.
