1 head green cabbage, quartered, cored and thinly sliced
1-2 lbs. pork, cut into bite-sized pieces
1-2 bunches green onions, cut into 1.5-inch pieces
8-10 cloves of garlic, minced
1-2 T crushed red pepper (like you use on pizza)
4-6 T soy sauce
4-6 T apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil (NOT olive oil)

Directions:

Heat about 1/2 cup oil in the wok on high heat.

Add cut-up pork in batches to brown. Remove from wok as it is browned. Keep warm.

When pork is all cooked, add garlic to wok for 15 seconds, then add cabbage and green onions. Heat through.

Return pork to wok and stir in.

Add 4-6 tbsp soy sauce amd 4-6 tbsp apple cider vinegar and heat through.

Remove from heat and add 1-2 tbsp red chili flakes and stir in.

Serve over sticky white rice.

I adapted this from an item I saw long ago on the menu at a local Phoenix Chinese restaurant called Szechwan Inn and it has since been an Ore family favorite for years! All of our adult children have added it to their own recipe rotations and even our grandchildren love it!!

I like to use country-style spare ribs for the pork in this recipe and it is best to use a wok or wok pan if you have one!
