1½ cups brown sugar
2 eggs
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup butter
2½ cups flour
¼ tsp salt
1 cup sour cream
⅔ cup walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter thoroughly. Blend in the well-beaten eggs. Sift flour, soda, salt and baking powder together. Add it to the creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Blend in vanilla and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheet, allowing room for spreading.
Bake 10-15 minutes in moderately hot oven.

Icing for Cookies:
Melt 6 Tbs butter over heat until golden brown. Blend in 1½ cups confectioner's sugar. Add 1 tsp vanilla. Stir in about 4 Tbs hot water until icing is spreading consistency.
