½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
½ cup sour cream
¼ tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 pound fresh plums (about 6)
Cinnamon-sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In mixing bowl, cream butter with sugar. Add egg and beat until fluffy. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Fold into batter just until moistened. Spread batter in a greased and floured 9-inch layer cake pan. Quarter and pit plums. Arrange attractively on batter. Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar over plums. Bake in a 350 degrees oven 50 to 60 minutes.
Cool slightly and cut into wedges. Serve with sweetened whipped cream, if desired.
