1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup raisins
2 yeast cakes, dry
1 cup mashed potatoes
2 cups scalded milk
7 cups flour
½ cup shortening
1 tsp salt
¼ cup warm water

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk and add to shortening while hot. Add salt, sugar, potatoes, and eggs. (add yeast to water and let rise), then add yeast to first mixture. Add raisins and 3 cups flour and beat. Add rest of flour gradually to dough; refrigerate 2 to 3 hours. When double in bulk, punch down, slit in half and roll ¾ inch thick and 6 inches wide, spread with melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon and roll like jelly roll.Cut into 1/2 inch slices. Let rise 1 hour until double. Don't put too close together. Bake 375 degrees for 20 minutes. "Frost if desired."
