2 ½ sticks butter
½ cup cane (white) sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1 ripe banana
1 cup whole wheat flour
½ cup all-purpose flour
3 cups old fashioned oats

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350°F.
In large bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy.
Add egg, banana and vanilla; beat well.
Gradually add flour, cinnamon; mix well.
Add oats; mix well.

Add either 1 cup raisins, 1 cup chocolate chips and/or 1 cup walnuts. If you do not add walnuts, increase raisins or chocolate chips to 1½ cup.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 9 minutes for a chewy cookie or 10 to 11 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool on a wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered.
