½ cup butter or margarine, softened
¾ brown sugar lightly packed
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp golden syrup
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1¾ cups flour
¼ tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
⅓ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
2 cups quick oats

Optional add ins:
1½ cups chocolate chips
1½ cups raisins
¾ cup Rice Krispies
½ cup unsweetened coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Cream the butter and sugar until lighter in colour and sugar dissolved. Add syrup, vanilla and eggs and mix in. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Mix until it’s well combined. Add in oats and mix. Add any optional ingredients and stir in with a spoon. Dough should easily form into balls of about 2 tbsp each. I use a 2 tbsp cookie scoop. Arrange 10 balls on each greased cookie sheet evenly. Bake for 12-14 mins until bottoms are golden. Let them cool on the cookie sheet until they flatten out. Transfer to cooling rack to cool completely.
