2 cups raisins
1 cup shortening
2 cups white sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 cups flour
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 370ºF and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
Boil raisins in 1 cup of water for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, powder, cinnamon, soda, and nutmeg.
In a large boil, beat shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture and beat well. Add raisin and water mixture, and mix until combined. Drop by teaspoon (or small cookie scoop) on prepared sheets, cook for 12 minutes.
