4½ cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
2 cups+ softened shortening butter flavor
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract-pure
4 eggs
1-12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1-12 oz milk chocolate chips

Directions:

Measure flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In a second bowl, mix shortening, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs. Fold in flour mixture. Mix in chocolate chips. Bake at 325º for 8-11 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. Let cool for a few minutes before removing from pan.

This is by far the best chocolate chip cookie recipe I have ever had. It took a lot of coaxing to get her to share it with us, but is is certainly a family favorite.
