1 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 ½ cups old fashioned rolled oats
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1¼ cup M&M candies
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup nuts (optional)

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

2. Cream the butter and sugars together really well-- at least 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.

3.Add peanut butter and mix well. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well

4. In a separate bowl, stir together the flour (be careful to measure correctly, spooning the flour into a measuring cup, then leveling off), oats, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

5. Add to the wet mixture and mix to combine, Stir in Chocolate chips, M&M's and nuts.

6. Drop cookies onto a prepared baking sheet.

7. Then place baking sheet in refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours, then put pans directly in 350-degree oven

8. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Don't overbake-- they will look just set
.
9. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool completely on the pan.
