1 c Whole blanched almonds or Hazelnuts
1 c Sugar
1/2 c Butter
2 c Flour
2 eggs
1 tsp Cardamom
1/2 tsp Baking powder
1 c Chocolate pieces
1 tsp shortening
1 c Almonds or Hazelnuts finely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Lightly grease cookie sheets. In a food processor combine the almonds sugar and butter and process till fluffy. Add flour, eggs, cardamom , and baking powder. Cover and process till mixture forms a ball. Transfer to a bowl and cover and chill for 1 hour.

Form rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into 2-inch crescent shapes and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes.

In a small saucepan heat and stir chocolate and shortening over low heat till melted. Dip one end of the crescent into the chocolate and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
