Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/8 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 egg yolks (make an omelet with whites!)
3 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 F Grease three cookie sheets (so cookies can be loading, baking and cooling at the same time).

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In another large bowl, using a wooden spoon, cream the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Beat in vanilla, eggs and egg yolks until well mixed. Mix in the dry ingredients. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. The cookies should be at least 3 inches apart, usually a maximum of six per cookie sheet.

Bake for 15 to 17 minutes, until edges are lighted toasted. Cool on sheets for 10 minutes, although cookies are delicious when eaten warm.

Makes 12-24, depending on size of cookies.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
"Audrey has been making these cookies since she was old enough to hold a mixing spoon, standing on a stool at the counter. This is actually the recipe I used as a child, and so did big sis Aurora, so this is a family favourite!"
