1 29 oz can pumpkin puree (do not use pumpkin pie mix)
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1½ cups sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
½ tsp ground cloves
2 cans (14oz) evaporated milk
2 nine inch unbaked pie shells

Preheat oven to 425º F

Mix sugar and spices in small bowl, set aside.

Mix eggs and pumpkin until well mixed, add sugar/spice mixture. Slowly add both cans evaporated milk until well mixed.

Carefully pour into pie shell. Bake 15 minutes at 425ºF, then decrease to 350ºF and continue to bake for 45 additional minutes or until tester inserted near center comes out clean.

Best to pour mixture in to pie shells with pie dishes on top of the oven. Pies will be full, so be sure not to overfill. Carefully transfer in to oven when preheated.

No Thanksgiving is complete in any Brown home without this pie!!
