1/2 C Butter
1/2 C Shortening
1 C Sugar
1/2 C Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Tbsp. Water
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 1/2 C Flour
1 tsp. Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 Bag Chocolate Mint Wafers (buy on Amazon) DO NOT use chocolate covered mints.
Walnut Halfs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Sift together flour, soda and salt; set aside.
Cream shortening and sugar. Blend in eggs, water and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Chill dough overnight.
Take 1 tsp. of dough, push a chocolate mint wafer into the dough and close up, making sure none of the wafer is showing. Top with a walnut half.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Remove to cooling rack.
