2-3 lbs ground chuck/beef (we usually use 2-2.5 lbs)
¾ lb-1 lb uncooked spaghetti (you’ll break these into small pieces when you put in the pot)
1 medium or large chopped onion
2 cans green beans (French or cut)
2 small cans tomato paste + water
Mashed potatoes
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Dried basil

Directions:
Heat oil in a large pot. Add spaghetti broken into small pieces (about one inch size) and chopped onion. Cook and stir until the spaghetti is lightly browned. Be careful it doesn’t burn.

Then add the hamburger meat, along with the spices. Stir until the meat is broken up and starting to brown.

Then add the tomato paste. Fill the two cans with hot water and add to the mixture, then fill them once more for a total of four cans of hot water. Stir well. Cover with a loose lid and simmer for 15-20 minutes. (Add more water as needed, the mixture shouldn’t be dry.)
Add the green beans and cook 5 more minutes.

Spray or butter a 13x9 pan and add the mixture. Top with the mashed potatoes in dollops.

Bake at 350 for approx. 30 minutes or until the potatoes start to brown.
