Personal Notes:
This was on a paper I found written by my Grandmother Mary Ponton. She was born prior to 1900. I spent many days visiting with her and Grandpa Harry. The food was great. I remember Grandma in the kitchen working most of the day preparing food for the table. She told me stories about her cooking on wood stoves just a couple of years prior to when I was born. I slept upstairs without air-conditioning or heat on a pair of Jinny Lind beds which I gave to my daughters Julia and Andrea. The beds are valuable, and I have been told by antique dealers around 1999 they will sell for $5,000 each or more.
