1 cup sugar
½ cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup applesauce
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. nutmeg
1¼ cup flour
⅛tsp.cloves
½ cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and shortening. Add egg and applesauce. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Stir in raisins. Spread batter in 9x13 pan and bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes. Glaze with a thin mixture of powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, and water.
