2 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
2 T. sugar
4 T. shortening
¾ c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Stir in milk. Knead the mixture. Roll out and cut out biscuits. Bake at 475° for 8 minutes.

We usually double the recipe for 4 people or more. Goes well as a side dish or for biscuits and gravy. Can be dessert with honey or jelly.
