1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup butter
1 cup oil
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup coconut
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3 1/2 cups flour
1 cup Rice Krispies
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 12 oz bag chocolate chips

Directions:

Cream sugar, butter and oil. Add rest of ingredients in order given. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

Gertie married Grandpa Albert in 1986. Throughout the years, she and her husband were good friends and dancing partners with Grandpa Albert and Grandma Lou. Gertie and Grandpa got together after each of their spouses passed away.
