1 stick butter, melted
1 egg, well beaten
1 c sugar
1 c dates, finely cut
2-2¾ c cereal, such as rice krispies
¾-1 c pecans, or walnuts
1 tsp vanilla
1 small box of coconut, shredded

Directions:
Melt butter, add beaten egg, sugar, and finely cut dates. Cook in skillet at 300º for 6 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from stove. Add cereal, nuts and vanilla. Form into balls and roll in coconut to cover.
