1/2 cup butter
4 oz unsweetened chocolate (if not using bars, its 12 Tbs cocoa and 4 tbs oil)
1 can evaporated milk (14 1/2 ounces)
3 Cup Sugar
1/2 tsp salt
optional 1 tsp vanilla

Melt butter in double boiler, add chocolate and blend. Add sugar, salt milk then cook low stirring often- 20 minutes
