2 1/4 cup sifted flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup butter
2 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup boiling water
Preheat over to 350

Milk Chocolate Frosting
1/4 cup shortening
6 Top cocoa
2 cup sifted powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Scald milk. Melt together shortening and cocoa. Stir in powdered sugar with hot milk and vanilla. Beat until of good spreading consistency.

Cream filling:
3/4 cup butter
2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup marshmallow cream
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Beat ingredients until smooth and fluffy

Grease and flour 13x9x2 pan or 9 inch pans
Combine then sift together three times, flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda. Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy; add beaten eggs, mixing thoroughly. Add sifted dry ingredients, alternately with sour cream and vanilla. Lastly, add the boiling water; blend. Batter will be thin. Pour into prepared pan. Bake about 40 minutes or until done.
